How to create a Product?

Products are a key part of supply chain traceability in FibreTrace®.

In FibreTrace®, products need to be registered first. Once registered, you can record information about their origin, movement, and transformation as they move through the supply chain — from raw materials to manufacturing, distribution, and finally to the retailer.

👉 Products = The finished items your company produces.
Examples:
. Cotton bale (if you are a Cotton Manufacturer)
. Yarn (if you are a Spinner)
. Finished garments such as Dresses, T-shirts, or Sweaters (if you are a Garment Manufacturer)

1. Navigate to FibreTrace.io

2. Click "Products"

3. Click "Create product"

4. Enter the "Product name" in the field.

5. Type "Product Name"

6. Select the "Manufacturer" from the drop-down.

7. Enter "Product description"

8. Enter"tags"

9. Click "Upload Image"

10. Click "Save"

• Product name/SKU (Required) - Write the name of your product or SKU (stock keeping unit) and — as the name suggests — it is a number that companies assign to products to keep track of stock levels internally.
• Manufacturer (Required) - This field represents the product owner. If your company is manufacturing the product, please select yourself, if you are an agent managing the supply chain, please select the company accordingly. 
• Description of a product - Provide a description of a product, you can include details e.g. the composition of the fabric.
• Product tags - You may write a few tags (Max. 5) which you think are suitable for your product.
• Image - Upload product images (maximum 20 MB). These will be visible on your B2C portal.
• Product template - Can be added to show additional information about your product, e.g. Season code, Colour, etc.

Once you have filled in at least the required fields, you can click Create to save the product. If you prefer, you can continue to create an order later. Alternatively, click Save and create order to create an order immediately.

After completing either of the above steps, your product will appear in "My Products".

Now that your product is created, and you are ready to create your first order.
